UN

The lamp UN was created in 2010 on behalf of the Swiss energy company Axpo. The architects Meier Leder initiated the development of a “plan lumières” on the site of the company’s main seat in Baden. Part of the plan was the design of a street lamp specifically developed for the site. The aim and theme of the design was the sculptural formulation of the connection between mast and lamp head. The shape of the lamp head follows the directionality of the light. Initially developed as a reflector lamp for conventional light sources, in 2012 the UN found its way into the collection of the Italian lamp producer ewo. Today, the UN is exclusively produced and distributed with LED light sources.
