The table is the complement to the plywood chair Wogg 50. The idea for this table is derived from the tradition of carpentry. Any large solid wood board needs to be stabilised. The solution for this problem is the batten. It has been used for centuries whenever a large wooden board needs to be kept in shape. The two leg braces take on this function and stabilise the table top. The sculptural qualities of this table manifest primarily in the details.
