The table lamp is a design for the 75th anniversary of the Swiss metal works company Schätti. The concept is simple: it consists of three identical parts and a hat, made from 1.5mm strong sheet steel. It is unusual to use sheet steel as a material for such a product. The material determines the shape and character of the lamp. Since it is not translucent, the metal plays with the reflection of light on its surface. The name DRI (Swiss German for ‘three’) refers to the trifoliate shape as well as to the three brothers in the third generation of entrepreneurs at Schätti Lamps.
