Kites

Constructing objects and collecting typologies form the beginning of a design task. This exhibition of the autumn of 2011 is dedicated to such beginnings. The point of departure was a book by the secondary school teacher Josef Eugster, now out of print. Building paper kites is a form of observation. The exhibition presents a selection of shapes and different modes of construction.  Getting to know and getting to grips with the object, understanding and observing it – these are the foundations for any design task.
